General Project Background Information:
Cindy Carlson is a single mother with eight dependants. She works full time as a family therapist. Cindy worked two jobs until March 30, 2010 when she required open heart surgery. She is now back to work with only one job as she continues to recover and manages her health.
Cindy is the sole provider for her children. There is enough to meet their immediate day to day needs but there is not enough to make needed repairs to their home.
State Farm Insurance Company
On April 9, 2010, Cindy received a letter that her homeowners insurance would not be renewed as of July 23, 2010, because of the deficiencies in the physical condition of the property. They later communicated that they would continue coverage as long as work is being done to rectify the issues they have identified. As a result of the work done on the Cindy Family Project, the first week of July, Cindy was notified that State Farm has decided to continue coverage of her home! Glory to God!
Cost Estimation
Our Cindy Family Project six member Tradesmen Team did cost estimation for the materials needed to repair Cindy's home. The goal is to make it safe, warm and dry. It is around $30,000.
