Greetings participants and GDOP coordinators,
Are things stirring in your city? We are about 30 days out from this year’s Global Day of Prayer on May 23, 2010. In 2009, every nation across the globe participated in GDOP. We are not there yet for 2010, but are praying and expectant to hear from the last few countries that have yet to plan a gathering.
As you probably know, the GDOP is not really about having a big event, or upgrading the reputation of the churches in a city. The Global Day of Prayer is a solemn call of God to His people to come before Him in repentance and to welcome our Lord to transform our communities. We seek to honor Him at the prayer gathering and in the planning process as well.
Let us cover the nations with day and night prayer from May 13–22 as we prepare to gather in unity on Pentecost Sunday, May 23. Each of the ten days has an emphasis that comes from Joel 2—turning to God because He desires to dwell with us. Joel’s appeal is focused on the hope of repentance and all the goodness that God desires to bring forth.

PS There is still time to plan a simple gathering with one or more churches. When you register online, your event will be listed among the many others in our nation and this will help encourage Christians in your area to join with you.

- Since 2009 between five and seven area churches and one local ministry collaborated to facilitate the 10-1-90 strategy for the Global Day of Prayer Plymouth. This effort continues as a prayer initiative in Plymouth, Elkhart Lake and beyond. The simple focus of the Global Day of Prayer is the glory of Christ and His transforming work to bring about the blessing of the nations. Toward this end we pray, and for His glory we are working.

Wondering how you or your organization can participate?
Individuals and organizations are welcome and encouraged to participate. You can check this site for all significant information and opportunities for the 10-1-90 in our area however, the most effective way to stay updated on all the GDOP Plymouth activities is to register with us. Registration is free and is not required for participation. To register please contact the coordinator at gdopplymouth@gmail.com or 920-980-7474 with your name and preferred method of contact, ie; email, phone, or postal address.
